988 & 9-1-1 Toolkit
The Missouri 988 & 9-1-1 Toolkit is a joint resource developed by the Missouri Department of Mental Health (DMH), 988 Centers, Missouri Behavioral Health Council (MBHC), and 9-1-1 partners to support coordination between 988 and 9-1-1.
Designed for both systems, the toolkit includes guidance on when to use each service, how to navigate Missouri’s crisis system, and how to share data and communicate effectively. It features sample MOUs, decision trees, and shared metrics to help ensure individuals in crisis receive the right support at the right time.
